Derrick joined Larson Financial Group in 2012 to lead the Jacksonville, FL office. Preparing doctors for their futures, Derrick assists residents, fellows and practicing physicians in navigating the many financial options available. Using one-on-one guidance while providing timely solutions to the many challenges facing this uniquely-skilled group, Derrick shares his knowledge with doctors and dentists by conducting educational seminars throughout Florida and Georgia.

Derrick graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering. Post-graduation, Derrick learned that the achievement of specific goals required the utmost loyalty, integrity and a steadfast dedication to others. During the eight years he was an Army officer and commander, Derrick was charged with the financial responsibility of over $50 million worth of Government property while being entrusted with the livelihood and daily concerns of America’s sons and daughters. These experiences allowed him to make critical decisions, as well as provide important advice and education concerning the financial welfare of both his organization and the families that he had the privilege of working alongside.

Derrick approaches his relationships with physicians and dentists using these same values in order to provide them with a concierge-level service that affords them the opportunity to help accomplish their financial goals. To further foster his commitment to help those who help others, Derrick’s relationships with his clients allows them the ability to focus on more important items in their lives while he helps to alleviate their financial concerns.

Derrick achieved a Master’s Degree in Management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He has been married to his wife, Ali, since 2008 and have three children – Cooper, Logan, and Haley. They enjoy spending time in the outdoors fishing, running and scuba diving.
